Through his graduate studies Mark was influenced by William Glasser's work, Choice Theory and Reality Therapy . Mark's further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Strength Based Approaches which have continued to influence his practice.
Mark's specialized training in assessing and treating youth that have engaged in harmful sexual behaviours has further enhanced his practice.
Mark has a passion for youth and their families which can be seen through his career. In 2002 Mark stated his career in a Children's Mental Health, working in the public sector as a therapist to youth and their families. In 2007 turned his passion for youth to being a therapist with at-risk youth involved in Youth Justice sector who struggle with mental health concerns.

Mark has been working in the mental health field since 2002. In this time he has worked in a variety of capacities including:

Over the past few years Mark has received extensive training in Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Strength Based Approaches.
Mark has also received specialized training to provide assessment and treatment to youth that have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour
Mark is a husband and father to 4 children living in Clarington.
Mark grew up in Clarington spending the majority of his life living here.
Mark's career has been based in Durham Region and providing services to this community is his passion.
Mark has chosen to set up his practice in Durham with an office in Pickering and in Clarington, a place he calls home.
